Fire Alarm Fabrication Service required a new database system to replace an Access system that was worsening in performance daily. The specification included the tracking of callouts and regular maintenance jobs, quoting, detailed client site information and invoice generation.
The project included reporting in both data lists and graphical forms, integration with Sage Line 50 accounting software, an interface accessible from any computer and the ability to send text messages from the desktop.

Intranet Mapping Tool

This solution was devised for a company that operated with a large number of contract staff. To keep a track of the office locations of each individual, a dynamic office map was designed using Coldfusion® and Flash Remoting®. Information on the personnel was pulled from a number of sources to get, amongst others, email addresses, extensions, usernames, manager names and cost centres.
In addition, printer and meeting room positions and details were added as was the ability to install a printer remotely.
All objects and personnel can be postioned using an admin tool with a drag and drop interface.
